Terms of Service
The simple rules that apply when you use My Quran Tutor Live and book classes with our teachers.
Please read: a template, not finished legal advice
These terms are a general starting point in plain English. Before this site takes real payments, a qualified legal professional must review them, and the operator must confirm they match what the academy actually does.
Agreement to these terms
Last updated: 26 July 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and My Quran Tutor Live ("we", "us", "the academy"), the organisation behind this website and its live online Quran classes. Our registered details are [Add your registered business name and address].
By using the site, creating an account or booking a class, you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
They sit alongside our privacy policy, which explains what we do with your personal information.
What we provide
We teach live, one-to-one Quran classes by video: Noorani Qaida, Nazra reading, Tajweed, Hifz (memorisation), Arabic and Tafseer, for kids, women and adults.
Every paid plan includes a dedicated qualified teacher, flexible weekly scheduling, a monthly progress report, and a certificate on completing a course.
Who can use the service
You may create an account for yourself if you are 18 or over and able to enter into a binding agreement.
Children are very welcome as students, but only through a parent or legal guardian. Where the student is under 18:
- the account must be created and held by the parent or guardian, in that adult's own name and contact details;
- the adult accepts these terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for the enrolment, the fees and the child's conduct in class;
- a parent or guardian should know the lesson times and be reachable while a class is running;
- a child should not book, reschedule or cancel classes, or make any payment, on their own.
Many of our students are young learners, so we also ask parents to supervise the device, the connection and the room the class takes place in.
Your account
You will need an account to book classes.
- Give accurate details at sign-up and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password private, and never share your login.
- You are responsible for everything that happens on your account.
- One account per student — please do not share one between siblings or friends.
Teachers hold separate tutor accounts under their own agreement. If you think someone else has used your account, email admin@myqurantutorlive.com straight away.
The free trial class
Your first class is free and no card details are needed to book it. It lets you meet a teacher and test your setup before paying anything.
The trial is one free class per student. We may decline repeated trial requests from the same student, family or household.
Fees, billing and renewal
Our plans are monthly subscriptions, billed in advance in US dollars (USD):
- $35 per month — 2 classes per week
- $50 per month — 3 classes per week
- $80 per month — 5 classes per week
There is no long-term contract: your subscription renews automatically each month, on the same day, until you cancel it.
Payments are processed by Stripe, so we never see or store your full card details. All plans are on our pricing page.
Prices may change, with reasonable advance notice to existing subscribers, and only from a following billing period. [Confirm your notice period for price changes — e.g. 30 days by email]
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your student dashboard — no phone call, no letter, no cancellation fee. Your classes continue to the end of the period you have already paid for.
[Confirm your refund policy — e.g. pro-rata refunds, or no refunds for partial months]
That line is blank on purpose: whatever is written there binds the academy, so the owner must decide it before the site takes real payments.
Scheduling, missed and rescheduled classes
Class times are agreed with your teacher and can be rescheduled with reasonable notice. Tell your teacher as early as you can if a class needs to move, so the slot can be offered to someone else.
Exact notice periods and the rules for missed classes are agreed with your teacher, and a slot missed repeatedly without notice may be released.
[Confirm your rescheduling notice period and missed-class policy — e.g. how much notice is required, and whether a missed class is made up or forfeited]
Code of conduct
Our classes are a place of learning and respect. You agree to:
- treat teachers, staff and other students courteously;
- join on time, ready to learn, from a quiet and appropriate setting;
- keep classes free of abusive, discriminatory, sexual or threatening behaviour;
- never record, photograph or stream a class without the consent of everyone in it;
- never share your account, class link or lesson materials outside your household.
Our teachers are held to the same standard. If a teacher ever behaves inappropriately, tell us at once and we will act.
How teachers are assigned
We match every student with a teacher suited to their level, age and goals, and you are welcome to request a male or female teacher.
Occasionally we must reassign a student — through illness, changed hours, or a teacher leaving. Where possible we will tell you in advance and introduce the new teacher, and you can always ask us for a different one.
Intellectual property
Everything on this site — text, design, logos, lesson plans, worksheets and other course materials — belongs to the academy or is used with permission.
You may use the materials we give you for your own study, or your child's. Please do not copy, resell, republish or redistribute them, or use them to run classes of your own.
Acceptable use of the website
Please use the website honestly and sensibly. Do not break into, disrupt or overload the site, scrape or copy it automatically, upload harmful code, use the service unlawfully, or impersonate anyone else.
Disclaimers
The service is provided on an "as is" basis. We work hard to deliver reliable lessons, but we cannot promise that the website or our classes will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Live video depends on things outside our control — your internet connection, your device, power cuts and third-party platforms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the period immediately before the claim.
[Have a qualified lawyer review and complete this limitation of liability clause, including the cap amount and the period it covers]
Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending the arrangement
You may stop using the service at any time by cancelling your subscription and closing your account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms — abusive behaviour, non-payment, sharing account access, or misusing our materials. Where it is fair to do so, we will warn you first.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Add your governing jurisdiction], and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that place.
We would always rather settle a problem directly, so please contact us first.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the academy grows or the law changes. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date above and email existing subscribers about anything significant. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
