Many sisters keep their camera off entirely and share only the page. That is completely normal here, and no teacher will press you to turn it on.
Between classes she sets a little to practise and tracks your progress, so every lesson picks up where the last one ended.

If you are an adult who still cannot read the Quran properly, please know how ordinary that is. Sisters begin with us at every age, and their teachers have taught every kind of beginner before. In a private class, nobody sees you learning but her.

Can I definitely get a female Quran teacher?
Yes. We have qualified female teachers, and you can request one when you sign up or at any time afterwards. Mention it in your signup notes or message our team, and you will be matched with a sister.
Will there be men in the class?
No. Every class is one-to-one and private — just you and your female teacher on a video call. There is no group, no other students, and nobody else can join your classroom.
Do I have to show my face on camera?
No. Your video is only ever between you and your teacher, and many sisters keep their camera off completely and share just the Quran on screen. What matters is that she can hear your recitation clearly, so she will never insist you turn it on.
Can a female teacher teach my daughter?
Yes, and it is one of the most common requests we receive. Female teachers teach girls of every age, from young children starting the Qaida to teenagers working on Tajweed or Hifz. You are welcome to sit in on the class.
What if I am an adult and a complete beginner?
That is completely normal and nothing to feel embarrassed about. Many adult sisters begin the Noorani Qaida at thirty, fifty or seventy, and our teachers are used to teaching the very first letters patiently. Nobody watches you learn except your teacher.
Can my daughter and I both take classes?
Yes. Many mothers learn alongside their children, either in separate classes or in the same slot with the same teacher. Plans are based on how many classes a week you need in total, so a family can share sensibly.
Are your female teachers properly qualified?
Every teacher here, female or male, is screened for recitation, Tajweed knowledge and teaching ability before meeting a student, and many hold an Ijazah — a certified chain of transmission in Quran recitation. Asking for a sister never means a lower standard.
How much do classes with a female teacher cost?
